How do Canadians Get Around Their City?

Introduction:

So how do people in Canada get around? Let me tell you a bit more about what modes of transportation our neighbors to the north use and how I personally got myself to school when I was living in Canada. There may be more options than you first thought. Some of these may be similar to those you’re used to seeing in your daily life, while others may be completely different.

Let’s find out!

How do people get around?:

In general, most people in Quebec City get around using many of the same transportation methods that we see in the United States. For instance, many people use a car to drive to work or to school. Others take the public bus, and finally a good number of others use a bike for their commute. As for me, I mostly walked to school when I was in Canada; however, on the days that it was difficult to walk due to the weather or because I was too tired, I would take the bus. And some days when I felt a bit more adventurous, I rented a bike. The only thing about using a bike for me is that Quebec City has quite a few steep hills, and I happened to live at the bottom of one of these while my school was located at the top of the hill! So, it was sometimes a bit hard for me to go uphill with the bike. :)
