English is the main language spoken aboard Wind Surf. That said, 40% of the crew is from the Philippines, 50% is from Indonesia, and 10% are from other countries including Austria, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, South Africa, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Panama, Japan, Macedonia, Greece, Croatia, Chile, India, Ireland, Kenya, Romania and Serbia. So, on any given day, there are many languages spoken on board the ship!
There are eight island states and overseas territories in this region that use the East Caribbean dollar. Along with St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, these countries are Anguilla, Montserrat, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada and St. Kitts and Nevis. One East Caribbean dollar is equal to about 37 U.S. cents. On all islands, though, U.S. dollars are also widely accepted. The U.S. dollar is the primary currency used aboard Wind Surf.
A small, 12-ounce bottle of water costs about 4.50 East Caribbean dollars. That's about $1.60.
