Everyone (or most everyone) in Córdoba speaks castellano, which is what Americans think of as Spanish and, more specifically, the people here speak a dialect of Spanish specific to Córdoba called Cordobés. There are certain words that the people of Córdoba use that aren’t used in other parts of Spain and the people here also pronounce words differently. For example, people in Córdoba cut off the final “s” from most words so that “¿Cómo estás?” becomes “¿Cómo está?” even when speaking with close friends.
The people in Córdoba use euros, just like the rest of the people in Spain. Something interesting about the euro is that there isn't a paper bill for 1€; it is a coin, instead. While the coins look cool, they add up quickly and can make your wallet really heavy!
A small bottle of water in Córdoba costs about 1€, and a big (1.5 liter) bottle of water, costs 2€.
