Paris is one of the food capitals of the world; not only is French food delicious, but all sorts of cuisines from across the world can be found here being cooked by expert chefs. My best meal this week was at a place called La Belle Ferronnière, which served French and Italian food. I ordered the penne, and my friend had a salmon salad that was even better than my meal.
Most French music that locals listen to sounds the same as English music, just in another language. This isn't very interesting to me, so most of the music I've been listening to has been the same as in America, like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. Even in French stores, any music with words is usually in English, so I haven't listened to much French music.
This week, my friends and I all travelled down to the 6th Arrondissement (the 6th district) to explore the flea markets that take place there every Sunday. These flea markets are popular with locals and tourists, so we were shopping with a diverse crowd. It was also nice to find clothes here that aren't too expensive because most of the stores near me sell only designer or luxury brands that I can't afford.
Most of my reading this week was for school because my classes are all about literature and politics. My professors give me selected chapters from books about philosophy and politics, which I read and analyze, so I can talk about it in class with the other students.
