English, Nyanja and Bemba are the main languages spoken here. Most people speak English and either Nyanja or Bemba. English is spoken in most places of business. The language spoken typically depends on a person's tribe or province. For example, Nyanja is the main language for people born and raised in Lusaka, but Bemba is the main language spoken in the Copperbelt.
The Zambian Kwacha is used here.
I normally buy a 12-pack of water in Zambia because it is recommended that you do not drink tap water. The pack costs K40. That is equivalent to $1.50. It is cheaper to buy essentials in Zambia than it is in the United States.
I had a BLT wrap with a side salad and apple juice while at Victoria Falls. It was the best meal I had this week for two reasons. First, it was very different from the food I normally have in Lusaka. Second, it was a very good meal. There was a sauce spread across the wrap that made it even better. I do not know what type of sauce it was, but it was sort of sweet.
