Coming into Reach the World, I had absolutely no idea that I would have the chance to meet and work with the best 5th graders on the planet! Thank you for following along on this journey with me. I have enjoyed answering your questions, looking at your research on Zambia and reading your letters. Before I say farewell, I want to tell you all (and show pictures) from my most recent adventures.
I know you all like to hear about the animals I have seen. At Chaminuka (about an hour outside the city), I saw a cheetah, lions, elephants and more zebras. I also went horseback riding. Personally, I do not enjoy horseback riding, but I would recommend trying it once...maybe. I also had the chance to travel to Cape Town, South Africa with a few friends from my program. I did a lot of hiking there, but it is such a beautiful place so the hiking was not so bad. I also had some of the best seafood in my life. My favorite was definitely the seafood pasta. I saw penguins at Boulders Beach! I have never seen penguins before, so I was very excited to see them. Overall, both adventures were fantastic!
My college has a break for the next week, so I am planning to see other countries on the continent. Maybe Rwanda and Uganda to visit friends I have there, but I am not sure about the plan just yet.
