This week I closely followed news in the U.S. about Rosa Maria Hernandez. I was relieved to find out that she has been able to return home to her family. If you have not researched the news story, I recommend that you inform yourself!
I went on an evening walk and found a pick-up game of volleyball. Frustratingly, women weren't allowed to join in. Next time I'll find a different team to go play with!
On November fourth, Sikh people all over the world celebrated Guru Nanak Gurpurab, which is a celebration of the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak Ji's birth. I woke up early in the morning on the fourth to the sound of people singing hymns and playing the drums in the street. A long procession had already formed as people of the Sikh faith honored Guru Nanak.
