One really interesting experience this week was visiting the U.S. Embassy in Amman. It is one of the largest embassies in the region, and has divisions from almost every department of the U.S. government. I was invited this week to a presentation on the U.S. government's services for citizens in the region, and learned a lot about what Foreign Service Officers do each day.
