I was a little taken aback to see signs saying a sandwich was over 1,000 forints, but that is less than four dollars back home, so it wasn't that far-fetched.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

In Italy, prices were very similar to that of America. A bottle of water there costs €1.50. That is equal to $1.75.

In Switzerland, everything is more expensive. A very small bottle of water there costs almost four francs. That is equal to $4.00.

In Hungary, most things were a little cheaper than the U.S. A bottle of water there costs 200 forints. That is equal to 71¢.

What was the best meal this week?:

The best meal I had this week was in Italy. On my final night, I ordered a mixed green salad, pesto pasta, and a traditional Italian lemon cake. The pesto tasted of the freshest basil I have ever had. Just the smell of the noodles cooking made me hungry. If I could go back, I'd eat even more!

What music did I listen to this week?:

The street performers were out and about in every country I visited this week. I got to hear the melodies of accordians in Italy, the strums of guitars in Switzerland, and the whistles of flutes in Hungary.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

This week I knocked a major thing off of my bucket-list: I got to go paragliding over the Swiss Alps. I traveled to the city of Interlaken, Switzerland which is known as the extreme adventure capital of Europe. I strapped myslef into a harness and ran off the side of a mountain. I'd say that's pretty extreme! The wind blowing through my hair and the sun shining on the town made for the perfect adventure.
