The first time I visited, the exterior of the building made me feel like there's so much beauty to works-in-progress. The basilica is set to be completed in the year 2026, which is the centennial of Antoni Gaudi's death. Antoni Gaudi is the architect who designed the Sagrada Familia and other monumental places in Barcelona. His style is described as Catalan Modernism and is incredibly unique. The reason why the Sagrada Familia has taken so long to construct is because the building's facade had to be painstakingly carved and it is only recently that new technology like computer-controlled stone millers has facilitated the building process.
