The best meal I had this week was a dish called cazuela. It is a dish made from swordfish, or albacora, with a peanut-based sauce. I ate it with lime and a portion of rice and a strawberry soda. You can find cazuela at any place that says cevichería, which is a restaurant that sells seafood. Cazuela is a very heavy and thick dish, and since it's eaten with rice, I became full very quickly. The flavor is rich and salty, and it goes very well with a little bit of lime juice and pepper.
I usually listen to my favorite bands and songs in English by artists such as Mt. Joy, Van Morrison, Chapell Roan and many more! However, I have also been listening to more and more songs in Spanish. A genre really popular in Ecuador with young people is called reggaetón. I have been listening to reggaetón, corridos tumbados (a mixture of traditional Mexican music and modern genres such as rap or pop), and chicha music (a type of cumbia that originated in Perú).
I also have some friends that are in a band, and they make lovely songs. Their band is called "Bye Bye Luly!"
