The weather this week in Cartago, Costa Rica was very cloudy. It rains quite often in this city and is very humid the rest of the time.
This week I saw dogs and horses. In Cartago, and all over Costa Rica in general, many stray dogs roam the streets. At my university, dog bowls of food and water are left out around campus for the stray dogs to enjoy. Many of the horses I see in Cartago are in fenced yards.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was a sloth. I had never seen a sloth in real life before! I traveled outside of Cartago and went to the city of La Fortuna in the Alajuela Province for the weekend. The sloths hang high in the trees there and move very slowly.
