Veterinarians: Justine Jones & Eric Gosselin

Who is your biggest inspiration? Beyond the paycheck, why do you continue to wake up and go to work each day?

JJ: I love seeing how happy people are when their pet gets better or a new couple with a puppy/kitten. I also absolutely love working up a difficult case and finding a rare diagnosis; it is like a medical mystery I get to solve.

EG: If you want to make a lot of money, I would not recommend a career in veterinary medicine. My inspiration is the animals I have met and those who have impacted my life so positively. Cherishing those relationships and wanting to help other people and animals is the whole reason I became a veterinarian in the first place. The reason I continue to go to work daily and improve myself is to provide a service to my community and those animals.

What do you like to do when you are not providing medical care to people's beloved animals?

JJ: I love hanging out with my own dog, Dale, and my two cats. I have three sisters with whom I love to spend time. My husband and I love to travel and go to local concerts.

EG: I like to spend my free time reading books, playing music, playing video games, watching shows and movies, exercising, and spending time with my fiancée and our two cats.
