This week I stayed in San Jose with my host family. Over the weekend I went go-carting, bowling, and shopping at a local mall with my coworkers. On Sunday I attended church up the street with my host mom. During the work week, I traveled to different EBIAS clinics in the ambulance with the boss of the ATAPs in the Area de Salud helping dispense the correct amount of vaccines to each EBIAS for the ATAPs to administer.
During my full study abroad journey I have traveled significantly far, but I still have so much more to explore. I've traveled from the coast of the east of the country in places such as Limon, Porto Viejo, and Cajuita Beach to places on the West Coast of the country such as Manuel Antonio and Jaco Beach. I have also been able to visit the famous La Fortuna in the middle of the country which included natural hot springs, waterfalls, and a volcano!
I got around this week mainly by bus. Every morning for my internship, the bus usually picks me up at 7:40 a.m. I stand outside of the bus stop and wait until I see the bus named "San Diego 3 Pista" and wave my hand for the bus to stop. Entry to the bus usually costs 405 Costa Rican colones, which is about 80 cents in the US.
