Combating Homelessness in Exeter

Is this need being met? How?:

Many people are working against homelessness in Exeter. One charity, St. Petrocks, has free meals, clothes, showers, haircuts and laundry for homeless people along with offering support in other ways, such as helping people find housing. Another program, Exeter Community Initiatives, gives advice and aid to struggling people and families that are at risk of becoming homeless. In addition, the Exeter City Council also helps people find housing and has bought train tickets for many people so that they are able to rejoin and often live with with their families in other parts of the country. Overall, many people are working to combat this problem, from citizens who give their spare change to the homeless, to charities and volunteers that offer beds and housing. However, there are still many more homeless people in Exeter that need support.
