Eum-ssik (Food) of Korea!

What food did I try?:

In my time here so far, I have tried many different kinds of foods. The main Korean dishes that I have tried so far are Bibimbap, Jju-dak-cheolpan-bokkeum, Nangmyeon and Shabu-Shabu. Some of these dishes can be very hard to pronounce and a little scary to someone that is a picky eater. The following is a brief description of each dish:

Bibimbap - mixed vegetables, an egg, sticky rice and several side dishes. There is a version in which you can add beef but I did not want meat the day I ate this.

Jju-dak-cheolpan-bokkeum - little octopus and chicken in an iron pot with other vegetables and rice cakes. This dish also comes with side dishes.

Nangmyeon - cold noodles with an egg, radish and cucumber.

Shabu-Shabu - this is a more complex dish. It is made with vegetables and mushrooms in a soup, noodles, rice and beef. I will explain this dish more in a following section.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

Bibimbap was the least scary meal for me to try. This was the first meal I had since leaving quarantine so I was more than excited. I was confident that I would love this dish because it is made up of all of my favorite things (rice, vegetables and eggs)! After trying it, I was even happier. I knew that I found a dish that I would be able to eat without being worried of getting sick. Bibimbap is the safest option for people that do not eat meat or just like vegetables.

Eating Jju-dak-cheolpan-bokkeum was scary for me. I had never eaten octopus before and was worried that I wouldn't like it. The texture was a little different than what I expected, but I was rather happy with it. It tasted pretty amazing and slightly spicy.
