Overall, this dish is probably one of my favorites. I would eat it almost everyday if I could!
Nangmyeon was something that I was not looking forward too. I do not really like noodles as much as I like rice. However, I knew that I needed to try it. I tried to make myself excited to try it but that just backfired. I was not able to handle the texture of the noodles. They are a little chewier than I was expecting. The taste was actually really good but I could not eat the noodles due to the feel of them. I recommend trying this dish to my friends but I cannot eat it.
I was actually really excited to try Shabu-Shabu. Many of my friends told me about this dish before coming here. They always say that it is one of their favorite dishes! It was honestly really delicious! There was so much flavor in the soup and the noodles were the perfect texture. I would eat this meal more often if I could.
Bibimbap is made rather simply. The vegetables are washed, cut and then arranged in a bowl. An egg is either served raw on the side or cooked and placed on top of the vegetables. Finally, the rice is cooked and served on the side. There is also a spicy sauce that is served on the side so you can add to your taste.
Jju-dak-cheolpan-bokkeum is often cooked in-front of you or by yourself/someone in your group. It is made by stir-frying vegetables, chicken and little octopus in a sauce. After the majority of the meal is finished, rice is typically added to make fried-rice.
Nangmyeon is a simple meal as well. Noodles are cooked and then cooled in ice-water. The noodles are then topped with chopped vegetables and, if ordered, spicy sauce.
