So far, the weather in Leipzig has not been too bad. During my first weeks living in the city, the weather was quite nice as I arrived at the tail-end of summer here in Germany. My roommates and I would often be outside, exploring a local Flohmarkt (flea market) or going for long walks along the river. Ever since, however, the weather has definitely made a shift, and we've had more and more rainy, cloud-covered days this week than not.
Starting in mid-September and early October, the weather all around Germany progressively gets more rainy and cold, but it can also be an nice excuse to bundle up and spend the afternoon reading or doing work in a coffee shop. This week, when I didn't have class, my favorite thing to do to get out of my apartment was enjoy a coffee and a small treat at one of the local Bäckereis (bakeries) in the Innenstadt (city center).
