Last week, I traveled back to where I studied abroad two years ago. It's a little university town called Tübingen, in the state of Baden-Württemberg. I went to Tübingen to see some old friends of mine and stayed about a week. Tübingen is about 325 miles (appx. 525 km) away from Leipzig and it took around seven hours to get there with the train.
I have since returned to Leipzig this week, making the round trip about 650 miles (1050 km) traveled!
The main way I get around Leipzig is using public transportation. For example, there are buses and trams that can take you through the city center, and trains that can take you further distances. This week, I mostly used the buses and trams to get to my classes at the university and elsewhere around the city.
The most interesting place I visited this week was an atelier, which is a workshop or art studio. My roommate told me that there was one day that many ateliers in the city would offer free entry, so I went to check some out with a new friend of mine. I found it super interesting, because every atelier was different and unique.
