What Do You Get When You Cross a Yak and a Hill Cow?

A few of the top environmental threats include hungry leopards, disease and possibly global warming because they’re not suited for warm climates. On top of these environmental factor, breeders will typically kill a baby from a chauri because the second generation animals produce less milk and aren’t as strong as the first cross. Unfortunately, the chauri are also threatened by modernization. In recent years, the populations of both yaks and chauri have significantly declined because many people have started looking for other work in cities. Most herders don’t need to raise as many of them for income anymore, so every year they become more and more scarce.
