The subjects that kids study in both Bogotá and the Amazons are fairly similar, with the exception of language. Like in the U.S., students study Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science, but in Spanish. However, in Bogotá students also have an English period, and in the Amazons students have a period in their indigenous language. They also do have an extra subject called, Life Skills, which reminds me of the Seven Habits!

Like in the U.S., homework tends to be a review of everything students have done that day in class.

If there is any sport that students play before, during and after school, it's soccer. Colombians love soccer so much that there isn't much interest in other sports!
Who are most Colombian kids’ favorite famous people?:
Most students love the musician Shakira! Plus, lots of Colombian soccer players.
What kinds of music does a typical Colombian kid listen to?:
Just as there are many different genres in Colombia, students too have a diverse range of music tastes. While some like salsa and cumbia, others prefer Amazonian folk music. Similar to the U.S., many students like hip-hop!
What would a typical Colombian kid like to be when he or she grows up?:
Most of the boys want to be soccer players when they grow up. In contrast, many of the girls have different interests. Some want to be teachers, actors or models!
