Life in Lyon: A New Perspective

One time we had to take care of the bunny when they were traveling for vacation, so I took the bunny on the train home from Paris. It even got its own seat!

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

My husaband and I really enjoy traveling, and from France, it is very easy to get around Europe. We have spent time all around the different provinces of the country [Burgundy and Savoy are both regions of France that I have also visited!]. Plus, the French get 5 weeks of vacation per year from their employer, so we've traveled to Spain, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and many other countries in the European Union (the European Union is a big organization of countries in Europe that work together and have a good relationship - this system promotes trade between countries as well as easier travel for European citizens).

What do you do for work?:

I have not worked for a long time because I spend most of my time taking care of my children. I raised our daughter and son while my husband worked and now we are both retired. So, I spend most of my days doing errands and seeing friends, which is very relaxing.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

I want to tell students in the United States to practice their language skills! Being able to communicate with people from around the world will give you so many interesting stories. You will learn about new perspectives. I hope you continue learning languages as you grow up and even study abroad some day.
