The weather this week was less chilly than the past few weeks, with an absolutely gorgeous day on Wednesday. The sun shone through a little, despite the fact that most days were cloudy with possibility of snow.
As I shared in an earlier logbook, I love walking to school every morning along the Rhône River. In almost the same spot each day, I pass a bevy of about 30 beautiful white swans (and one black one!). Last week, I even saw the swans fishing!
This past weekend, I visited Chamonix-Mont Blanc with a group of other Dartmouth students in my program. Chamonix is famous for its proximity to the Alps mountain range as well as the Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) glacier. Waking up in the morning surrounded by beautiful snow-covered mountain ranges was absolutely incredible, and the natural beauty felt almost unreal. I thought I was looking at a photograph half the time!
