The main languages spoken in Morocco are Arabic because of its Muslim influence and French because part of this country was originally colonized by France. In the last city I visisted, Chefchaouen, Spanish is spoken by many locals there because Spain colonized that region of Morocco.
The national currency is the Moroccan dirham which is worth approximately 30 cents.
A bottle of water usually costs 5 dirham in Morocco, or the equivalent of 1.50 USD.
The best meal I ate this week was my first dinner with a Moroccan family in the capital city of Rabat. We had a dish that was a mix of potatoes, cheese and a variety of spices as well as Tajine chicken, a very popular Moroccan dish. The entire meal was homemade and tasted absolutely delicious!
