Coucou tout le monde (hello everyone)!
I can’t believe our journey together is coming to an end. These past few months have flown by, and we have explored so much together!
Since I arrived in France five months ago, you’ve joined me in discovering Lyon and its food, nature, history and traditions. We even visited other cities in France and around Europe. I’m so grateful you’ve been on this adventure with me!
When I first moved to Lyon, I felt excited…and a little nervous too. Moving to a new country can be challenging but I’ve learned that challenges often come with even bigger opportunities. Working as an English teaching assistant at a high school here, I get to teach hundreds of students and share about life in the United States, while they teach me about life in France. We learn from each other every day.
The opportunity to live in France is extra special for me because I started learning French when I was in sixth grade, just a few years older than you. I kept practicing (even when it wasn’t easy) and years later, I had the chance to study in France in college. Being able to live here again and share this experience with you has made it even more meaningful.
