I met Eero on a blogging website a few years ago. I visited him for the first time in Finland a year after becoming friends with him online. He lives in a small city in Finland called Jyväskylä. Before meeting Eero, I never really knew anything about Finland (and to be honest, I did have to look it up on a map when I first found out he was Finnish). The fact that it lies in the very north of Europe has a big impact on daily life. Summers feature up to 21 hours of daylight and winters feature up to 21 hours of darkness. However, people go about their daily lives despite these challenging conditions.
My full name is Eero Veikko Turunen and I'm 22 years old.
I live in an apartment in Jyväskylä, Finland with my roommate Arto. It's a nice big apartment with really old floors and an old kitchen. There is a sauna on the top floor that everyone in the building can use and it has a nice view of the city, the trees and nature. We got it really cheap, even though it has a really nice view. A nice view is something that usually makes an apartment pricey in Jyväskylä. I have my own room and share the living space with my roommate.
My parents and two of my siblings live in a house close to the city and just a ten-minute walk from me.
