The weather was pretty similar to last week: hotter than I would normal call winter and much cooler than the rest of the year in Vellore. Most mornings were around 68°F and the afternoons were 85°F. It is 70°F right now because I am writing this around 9:00 PM, which is three hours after sunset.
This week I saw the usuals (cows, goats, monkeys, dogs, mosquitos, etc.) and I also saw a family of black pigs. The monkeys that live in my neighborhood startled my roomate, Gillian, when they ran past our bathroom window. Usually the monkeys avoid our side of the street because we have many street dogs on our street.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was the family of black pigs. The pigs are interesting to me because I don't know who owns them and I don't see the pigs very often. However, every once in a while, I run into them as they are hanging out on the side of the road eating some garbage and minding their own business.
