This week, I traveled 120 miles to and from Yelagiri. I also traveled 150 miles to and from Bangaluru. That means about four hours in a car on the roundtrip to Yelagiri and eleven hours total on buses roundtrip to Bangaluru.
I am approaching 8,000 miles of travel on my journey in India so far. India is a huge country and no two parts of it are the same. It is worth the travel to see as much of India as I can, but the travel is also tiring.
This week, I took an auto to school, a car to Yelagiri, a bus to Bangaluru and autos within Bangaluru. In big cities like Bangaluru, you can call an Uber auto, which is an auto that you call through Uber like you might call a car in the U.S.
While I was in Bangaluru, I visited the Shivoham Shiva Temple with my friend and fellow American, Brian. The temple's main feature is the beautiful and giant Shiva statue, which is the most powerful temple of Shiva in India. It is huge!
