Definitely the deer family I mentioned! It's usually hard even to spot deer, because they are shy animals. But this time they were grazing peacefully in my backyard!

After World War II, Japan gave our nation's capital a present of beautiful cherry blossom trees. So every year, those of us who live in the area are lucky enough to experience the bloom season of cherry blossoms at the same time as that in Japan!
Every year, Washington D.C. also throws a cherry blossom festival styled like a traditional Japanese festival. It is a great way to get a feeling of Japan right here in America!
