It is currently spring break, and my mom's birthday was this week, so I traveled back home to be with my family! And don't worry, I made sure to get tested before heading back.
A big perk of being a virtual intern is that I have the freedom to work from anywhere and spend time with those I care about!
Sadly, I haven't traveled far because I am a remote intern. But if I had gone to Japan, I would have traveled over 6,700 miles! It's a 16 hour plane flight, which is pretty much your entire day sitting on a plane!
Due to COVID-19, I try to stay indoors as much as possible! And when I do go out, I try to walk if I can.
Probably the Whole Foods store I mentioned! It has so many interesting foods of all different cultures. I even bought myself items to make my own sushi.
This week was the tenth anniversary of the great Tohoku earthquake that devastated many parts of Japan. It is an important part of Japanese history, as it was one of the biggest earthquakes ever to happen in the world. My boss and I made sure to pay our respects and honor those who helped the local people and Japan in their time of need.
