Welcome, Memphis Street Academy Charter students! My name is Taylor Stauffer, and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself, and how I ended up in Barcelona, Spain!
I grew up in Cheshire, Connecticut, and I am currently 21 years old. I have a twin sister, Erica, and an older sister named Nicole. They look forward to visiting me in Spain soon. In Connecticut, the weather is very similar to the weather where you are, so I like to ski in the winter and go to the beach in the summer with my family. I also played many sports growing up, such as basketball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, softball, gymnastics, and cheerleading. I used to play the trumpet, too. Have any of you tried any of these sports, or do you play an instrument?
After finishing high school, I went to Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. At Boston College, I wanted to study biology, which is a type of science that explores the human body and the environment. I chose this field because I want to become a doctor in the future. I love helping people, and I want to make a difference in how they live when they are sick or hurting. I also studied Hispanic Studies, which allowed me to take Spanish language classes and learn about the culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
