What is a perspective? It is a way of thinking or seeing the world. For example, your perspective of the world might be influenced by where you live, or where you have traveled before. It might have to do with your family, and how you live and celebrate different holidays. For people in Barcelona, their perspective is based on their surroundings in a city, their religious beliefs and their language. While I am living here in Barcelona, it is very important for me to remember that the people here have different perspectives, beliefs and opinions than me. And that we have something to learn from each other.

In Spain, there are different ways of living than in the United States. There are different foods, traditions, holidays, languages and lifestyles. One specific example is the way that I live here and back home in the U.S. While I live in a house back home, many people in the busy city of Barcelona live in apartments, or pisos. While both my family at home and my family in Spain are made up of five people, in Barcelona we live in a much smaller space. This is because in the city, space is a premium, which means there is not a lot of space to live in a small area like Barcelona.
