What jobs do your parents have?:

"My dad fixes cars and motorcycles, and my mom usually stays at home, or sometimes she collects stones from the beach."

Context - The beaches here are stone beaches instead of sand beaches, and a lot of people collect the stones to sell and export to other countries like the U.S. 

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

"School starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m., but we usually get out earlier."

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

"I walk to school with my siblings. Yes, we go by ourselves. It's only about a five-minute walk."

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

"I eat lunch at school. My favorite food is sancocho, but we don't usually get that as a school lunch; only on special occasions. "

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

"We speak Spanish. 'Hello' is 'Hola.' I also speak Haitian Creole at home, and 'Hello' is 'Bon jour.'"

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

"Some common girls' names are Rosa, Gabriela, and Sofia. For boys, some common names are José and Roberto."

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

"In school, we study Math, Spanish Language, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Religion. Math is my favorite."

What is your homework like?:

"Sometimes the teacher gives us homework, but not a lot. A lot of the kids don't do it, but I always do. I like to learn."
