I love donuts, so I could not believe that it took me seven months to find out about these! понищишки are balls of fried dough that are sliced in half and filled with cream, chocolate or jam. They don't have the hole in the middle like American donuts, but they are very tasty.
This week, I have been listening to a lot of Ben Platt music. He is a Broadway singer, but he is creating an album. His music is not like normal pop music and has a Broadway feel to it because of his voice, but I really like it!
The activity that was the most fun this week was taking a group of my students to a Bulgarian English Speech and Debate competition. Students from all around Bulgaria come together to perform their written persuasive speeches, act out skits, recite poems and stories from famous authors and debate on selected topics. Even though they are Bulgarian students, they all have to perform in English. My students are really talented, and I was really proud of their hard work!
This has been a really busy week for me, so I have not had much time to read. But I did just get a new book that I am excited to start reading. The book is called Becoming by Michelle Obama, the former first lady of the United States.
