Therefore, apply yourselves, work hard and then enjoy the fruits of your labor (maybe in a foreign country, on the beach, sipping a delicious drink!).
Know that from now on, as you become young adults, you will have more freedom over your lives and your decisions. Know that all of your life experiences will be what you make of them and the decisions you choose to make. You will never be able to have again the moment you had before you started reading this sentence. How you choose to spend your time next year and during college will dictate what your future professional and personal lives look like. Having fun is important, but planning for your future and attaining your goals will lead you into the life you dream of living, whether you know or don’t know what it will look like.
If you are at all like me, you probably already feel insanely nervous and stressed, and this journal entry might have increased those feelings. However, you should know, and I promise that this is the last one, that although it’s normal to feel intimidated and overwhelmed, it would be a shame if you never tried.
