La Macarena was very close to Bogotá, only about an hour. However, we had to drive to a lot of different places once we got there.
On my journey so far, I have gone on about four different trips, but La Macarena was one of the biggest ones so far.
We flew to La Macarena on an airlines called Santena, and then we drive around by motorcycle car throughout the town.
The most interesting place we visited was Caño Cristales. The cañons were amazing, and there were a few big rivers with the red plants growing in the water.
Two other plants that we saw are called los labios del diablo (the devil's lips) and the sleeper plant. It's called sleeper plant because when you touch the leaves, they all move away from your hand. It's pretty amazing!
