This style of building was banned after the Great Fire of London. They discovered that the building technique was dangerous when a fire broke out, as the fire could easily jump between the close building structures. Today, this is one of the most popular streets in Yorkshire, with tons of shopping stores, including several that are "Harry Potter"-themed.
Yorkshire has amazing Christmas markets. I wasn't able to shop too much, since most of them were not open yet. Unfortunately, most of them were opening the week after we went. It was still cool to see everything in preparation for Christmas and maybe I can go back one day and experience the full magic of Christmas at Yorkshire.
