I stayed within Madrid this week, just working, reading, and hanging out with friends. In total, I probably traveled only 30 km from all the metro rides and walking.
Again, I think I've traveled around 7,500 kilometers in total. Since Seville, I've really only stayed in Madrid to work and get everything back up after Christmas.
I got around via the metro and walking. Although I did have to take a cab once because I was exceptionally late to a dinner with a friend! Instead of Uber here, they use Cabify instead. Careful though, as this is essentially just a ride-sharing application, and is not connected to the actual union of cab drivers in the city. My sister asked a taxi driver if she could use Cabify to call a cab once, and he was a little miffed!
Again, I think the most interesting place I visited was the Caixa Forum for the Egyptian Pharaoh exhibit. The forum itself is very pretty from the outside and located next to the art museums in Madrid.
