This week, I have traveled 1,132 miles from Bengaluru to Varanasi (by plane) and 158 miles from Varanasi to Bodhgaya (by train) for a total of 1,290 miles. Once I go back to Bengaluru, I will have traveled double the amount -- 2,580 miles!
The last time that I counted, I had traveled 9,919 miles. Now I have traveled another 2,580 miles, so I have now traveled a total of 12,499 miles. This is the most traveling that I have ever done in my life!
This week, we have mostly been walking and taking rickshaw rides to get around Varanasi and Bodhgaya. We have also taken a plane, a train, and a boat ride!
This week, we have visited two giant statues of Buddha. The first one was in Varanasi, and the second one was in Bodhgaya. I think these are some of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have ever visited in my life. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
Aside from visiting the Muslim mosque and the giant Buddha statues, we have also visited some amazing Hindu temples on this trip. A big part of the reason that people say India is diverse is because there are many different religions practiced here by large numbers of people!
