Siem Reap is in northern Cambodia and it is about three hours away from Hong Kong by air.
Cambodia is currently the third country that I have traveled to during my time abroad. The other two are Malaysia and Singapore.
My friends and I mainly hired a tuk-tuk driver to get us around the huge Angkor Wat temple complex. A tuk-tuk is an open-air carriage pulled by a motorcycle. It was quite exciting to feel the cool breeze brush by as we saw the landscape of Cambodia zip by.
There's one temple called Ta Prohm and it was intentionally left in an undiscovered state. The movie Tomb Raider was shot there and I honestly felt like Indiana Jones while walking around. It is amazing how much of the jungle has reclaimed the land the temple was built on. You can see tall trees poking up and latching onto the walls and crevices of the temples.
