This week I traveled two hours from Melbourne to Cathedral Ranges State Park. There, I hiked up Sugarloaf Peak. It was a lovely area, and I didn't mind the drive because the scenery was stunning!
Since I arrived in Australia in mid-July, I've spent quite a bit of time exploring the area. My partner and I have gone to St. Kilda, Healesville, Taggerty, Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island and more! There is still plenty of exploring for us to do. I can't wait until we travel up to the city of Sydney.
This week, I mostly got around by car, but I also took public transportation one day to get to class. If I need to travel a long distance, I will usually drive. If I'm only going a short way, I like to take public transportation. The trains are nice, not too crowded and run on schedule.
The most interesting place I visited was The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. It is an art museum that houses part of the collection of Australian art. It was great to see how Australian art reflects the art of other places. There were lots of colorful works!
