Like most days in Colombia, the weather has been quite volatile. It's hard to predict what the day will look like as in the mornings it will be cold, by midday it is warm and sunny, but by the late afternoon it's cloudy and sometimes rains. We've had more cloudy grey skies this week than bright blue days. Rather odd to see this type of weather this time as we are technically supposed to be in the 'dry season.' However, just recently we had a huge rainfall where it flooded the streets completely! It took me 2 hours to get back home from waiting for the rain to slow down and hopping over puddles through the streets of the city. It almost felt like I was playing Frogger in real life!
I usually don't see animals other than the occasional pets people have and some horses roaming around in my neighbourhood. However, I recently went to a zoo in a nearby town called Tibasosa. This zoo was particularly interesting because all their animals are rescued animals that were trafficked or abused by their previous owners.
