The price will also go up if you buy water con gas (with gas, or carbonated), but I don't like sparkling water, so I never pay that extra price.
The best meal this week was at a small café (I can't remember the name of) that I went into because its little advertising chalkboard outside said "menú del día" ("menu of the day") for $13,000 pesos. When you see "menú del día," it usually includes a soup (as an appetizer), a beverage, a protein, rice and some sort of vegetable or additional side. It is often very affordable! This meal included your choice of mango or guanabana (soursop) juice, cream of carrot soup or caldo de costilla (rib soup), chicken or meatballs, peppers or lentils, a side salad, rice and a potato. I got the guanabana juice, rib soup, chicken and lentils plus all the sides for $3.25 USD.
Here, I listen to a lot of the same English-language music I listen to at home. This week, that included artists like Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and the Wicked soundtrack, but I have ventured into Spanish music, as well. On my "Colombian Pop" shuffle, I listen to artists who are not necessarily Colombian, but whose music is popular here and played most often at clubs and on the radio. For example, I've listened to quite a bit of Bad Bunny's new album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, Karol G, Kali Uchis, Carlos Vives and Romeo Santos.
