During my week in Japan, it sprinkled every day, and some days, it rained harder. It was chilly enough for me to wear a winter coat, hat and thick socks and feel fine.
Since I was in major cities during my stay, the only animals that I saw were birds.
About 73% of Japan is mountainous. As we traveled by bullet train, I could see the mountains race by for nearly the entire ride.
Tokyo has an abundance of skyscrapers, but not much nature unless you travel further out. The train rides had beautiful scenery including rugged mountain ranges that seemed to stretch as far as the trains did.
