Sushi! I have tried sushi in the United States before but was never a big fan. In Tokyo, we ate at a restaurant that delivered food on a conveyer belt, and you could order from the iPad they provided. We tried a variety of sushi, but did not know what any of them were made of!
Shopping centers mainly played Japanese Pop and K-Pop. Some restaurants played their version of songs that we hear on the radio here in the United States.
I loved exploring the busy streets of Tokyo and taking advantage of their advanced railway system. I have been to New York City before, but it was crazier than I could have expected. Traveling through Tokyo showed me little differences between our cultures, such as how in Japan, it is considered impolite to eat or drink while you walk. "Ikkai ichi dousa" means "one thing at a time" and is why they do not multitask while walking. Most restaurants and coffee shops did not have a to-go option either!
