The main language spoken here is French. The young people commonly know English, but not the older ones. Do you remember the words we learned in our video call? Today I will teach you another word that you can use. "Thank you" in French is "merci".
In France, we use the euro. The paper money is very colorful. What is interesting is that unlike the United States, they use more coins for full "euros" which is very similar to the US dollar. You can use a coin that values up to 2 euros. Imagine a $2 coin.
A bottle of water costs €1.40 which translates to about $1.51.
This week I went to a restaurant right on the lake. It was a called "Le Bel Abri". For the first course I ate a very French traditional dish called "escargot" which is cooked snails. For the main course, the chef arranged a beautiful plate of ribs and fresh local vegetatbles. For dessert, I ate exotic fruits witha spoon of vanilla ice cream on top. It was one of the best meals I have ever had.
