The Jordanian Dinar is the only currency accepted in Jordan, although Visas can be used that automatically transact dollars into dinars.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

Nos dinar (meaning 1/2 a dinar). Appoxomately 75 cents.

What was the best meal this week?:

I met my language exchange partner's family for the first time this week when we visited his house. His mother made Warak Enab, a dish of rice and meat wrapped in grape leaves, similar to stuffed spinach.

What music did I listen to this week?:

A classical Arabic song called "Qmar, Ya Ya" was playing in my Uber the other day, and I started singing it—the driver was surprised I knew it, but it's a very famous song, and we had listened to it for a class assignment just the other day.

I also listened to the indie song "Dance Yourself Clean" by LCD sound system because my language partner asked me to play an American song for him while he was driving.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

Volunteering at the orphanage to build the garden with them was certainly one of the most fun and meaningful things I've done all trip.
