What main languages are spoken here?:

The two official languages are Irish and English. English is the language spoken most prevalently (widespread) in present day Ireland, although there are a few places in Ireland called Gaeltacht areas where the majority of people speak Irish.

I should mention that the people here call their language 'Irish' and not 'Gaelic' when they're speaking in English. The word for the Irish language in the Irish language is "Gaeilge", but they never use the term "Gaelic". Confused yet? For a comparison, we would say people in Mexico speak Spanish, but when speaking in Spanish we would say Español. Maybe that helped or just confused you further. Really what I want you to take away from this is that you should use the term 'Irish' and not 'Gaelic'. Capeesh?

What type of money is used here?:

Ireland, or as it is officially called, the 'Republic of Ireland' is a member of the European Union (E.U.), and also chose to adopt the euro as its currency. The symbol for the euro is ‎€.
