She is the head registered nurse in charge. Some of her responsibilities include assigning patients to the other nurses, working in the intensive care unit for really sick patients, working closely with doctors and helping them out with any necessary tasks, and also coaching and training new nursing students.
Maria would like to emphasize that students should take the time to learn about different cultures whether through reading about them or traveling. She also suggests to visit different countries in Europe and learn about the many histories and cultures found here.
