How was the weather this week?: Winters in Greece are mild, with temperatures usually ranging from 40-60 degrees. In contrast to the summer sun, though, winter is often overcast and rainy–this week certainly has been!
What animals did I see this week? : This week, as always, I’ve seen a lot of cats! Athens is famous for its stray cats, who are generally friendly toward people and treated as pets of the community–houses and businesses often leave food and water out for them. On my walk to school, I see at least one every day, and sometimes they show up outside my house!
What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?: Earlier this week, I took a trip to Mt. Olympus (yes, the Mt. Olympus, mythical home of the Greek gods!) and hiked on a beginner trail. The views of the mountain, which is the highest peak in Greece, were incredible!
